Old and Senile Happy Birthday Card
The old and senile happy birthday card puts getting older at the centre of its English-language joke. The wording is direct rather than coy, turning age into the whole comic premise instead of hiding it behind a subtle hint.
The wording is presented in English, and the card is made from card. Its plain-spoken approach keeps the age reference easy to recognise, with senility named directly rather than tucked into a softer or more oblique birthday message.
Left blank for a personal note, it gives the sender freedom to decide what follows the joke. Affectionate wishes, a second teasing line or a concise sign-off can complete it for the particular birthday without competing with the card's direct opening message.
A more personal find
Huxters' old and senile happy birthday card is one to choose with the recipient's sense of humour firmly in mind. Its pointed reference to age suits someone who treats getting older as fair game for birthday teasing and will enjoy the line as intended.
