Bara Brith Milk Chocolate Bar
The bara brith milk chocolate bar takes its cue from the traditional Welsh fruit loaf, bringing dried raisins and subtle spicing to milk chocolate. Its ground blend combines coriander, cinnamon, fennel, ginger, cloves and nutmeg, joined by mulled spice flavouring; raisins make up 3% of the bar and the ground spices 1%, so the reference is carried in the recipe as well as the name.
Beyond the recipe, Siocled prepares its chocolate in small batches using ethically sourced cocoa. The maker also uses biodegradable materials, supports renewable energy and works closely with cocoa farmers to help ensure fair trade practices within its cocoa sourcing.
The milk chocolate itself contains at least 33.6% cocoa solids and 20.8% milk solids, with natural vanilla included in the recipe.
