The olive wood chess table 54 x 54cm is shaped around the timber's natural live edge, allowing its irregular outline to remain part of the design. Rich, swirling grain runs across the surface beside the ordered playing grid, so the character of the olive wood remains visible whether a game is under way or the table is standing between matches.

Handcrafted and custom-carved, the table sets its playing surface on a pedestal base, establishing it as a dedicated piece of functional furniture. Its freestanding form gives the chess grid its own place at the heart of the design, ready for play while the pedestal silhouette contributes sculptural shape between games.

Made with serious chess players and collectors in mind, the table offers a freestanding setting for play and a decorative presence between games. It is especially well suited to someone who wants chess to remain part of a living space, den or office, and makes a considered choice for a player whose interest extends beyond the match to the design and presence of the board itself.
